🌪️ Tornado Warning Update for Pipestone County

The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, SD has issued a tornado warning for Pipestone County, effective until 9:00 PM CDT on May 6th. At 8:34 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm with the potential to produce a tornado was located 7 miles southwest of Pipestone National Monument, or west of the city of Pipestone, moving northeast at a speed of 55 mph. The potential tornado poses various hazards, including flying debris which could be dangerous to anyone without shelter. The warning highlights that mobile homes may be severely damaged or destroyed, and significant damage is possible to roofs, windows, and vehicles, as well as likely tree damage.
