The small town of Waldo has a population of just 500 and is far cry from Ohio's bustling city centers but it's still definitely worth a trip for any and all foodies. Keep reading to learn more.

Located 40 miles north of Columbus, Waldo is a hidden gem in the center of the state with a ton of delicious restaurants to try. Here are a few of our favorites.

First on the list is G&R Tavern, an old-fashioned restaurant filled with nostalgia. They're most known for their iconic bologna sandwiches and absolutely massive homemade pies.

The next must-visit is a pizza parlor called Belly Busters. Another old-school spot, Belly Busters will take you back to the simpler days and they serve everything from pizza to pasta, subs, and salads but be sure to check out their specialty pizzas like the popular dill pickle.

Last but certainly not least: Pettibone's Bar & Grill, a fun little spot that's housed inside the former Waldo's Sports Bar. Waldo is known for its bologna and the dee-fried bologna bites are a menu must here.
