This Bakery has Been Named the Best in California

California is brimming with bakeries, both old and new. Only one, however, made it onto Taste of Home's best in the country list.

So where can you find the best bakery in the state? According to Taste of Home, you'll have to head to Gizdich Ranch Pie Shop and Deli in Watsonville. Keep reading to learn more.

This charming old-fashioned farm can be found in Watsonville–a little-known destination just south of Santa Cruz and north of Monterey.

Gizdich is most famous for its fruit pies, and it's no wonder since the ranch is also a u-pick berry and apple farm.

Amongst the seemingly endless apple orchards and berry fields you'll find the quaint pie shop and deli that serves up everything from over nine varieties of pies to apple dumplings, puff pastries, ice cream, popsicles, and sandwiches. Absolutely everything here is made from scratch and baked fresh daily.
