An dispute between two men who knew each other led to an apparent stabbing at a Tualatin apartment complex on Sunday, May 26.

Tualatin police responded to the Todd Village Apartments, 8325 S.W. Mohawk St., around 5:42 p.m.

There, they found a 49-year-old man who had been stabbed with the suspect having fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, Sherwood police stopped the suspect’s vehicle on Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood Road. Newberg resident Christopher Alfred Knapp, 58, was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail on charges of first-degree assault and two charges of unlawful use of a weapon.

According to court documents, Knapp has previously been convicted of fourth-degree assault for a 2017 incident in McMinnville.
