Here’s how you can register your neighborhood for Tukwila’s National Night Out on Aug. 6

National Night Out (NNO) will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024, and here’s how you can register, courtesy Tukwila Police.

NNO “is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer more caring places to live,” police said.

“It’s that time of year when we start planning National Night Out!

“National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer more caring places to live. This event enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while restoring a true sense of community. It provides an excellent opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

“Businesses, apartment complexes, and neighborhoods can participate.

“Last year, we had over 20 gatherings registered with us! Due to the high volume of gatherings, we can’t guarantee that every party will get a visit from our teams. If there are multiple parties in a neighborhood, we suggest combining them for one big celebration in your area or using a nearby park if space is tight. Most parties are between 4 pm and 8 pm.
