It was just after 1 in the afternoon on Monday, July 15th, when the New York State Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash with injuries on I81 North in LaFayette. State Police say an investigation determined the operator of the single-vehicle crash, 72 year old Thedorus A. Stolwijk of Binghamton, was driving a 2024 Chrysler and was in the driving lane on I81 North.
Five charged in Cortland motorcycle thefts
CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – Police have caught up with two men who they say stole motorcycles earlier this year in Cortland. An investigation into the theft of two Kawasaki motorcycles and the attempted theft of a third began on May 3. According to Cortland Police, the suspects were caught on video around 2:20 a.m. taking the bikes from a place on Jefferson Road in the city. After a lengthy investigation, both bikes were discovered in a Groton barn and Jacob and Joshua Conklin were identified as suspects. Zoey Henry, 25, was also identified as a suspect. All three were arrested.

County Sheriff: Man arrested for DWI in Cortlandville
A man was arrested over the weekend for driving while intoxicated, according to a report. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Report stated that officers made a traffic stop on Saunders Road in Cortlandville. According to the report, officers determined that Matthew G. Tebbe, 26, of the Town of Marathon, was driving his vehicle “in an intoxicated condition.”
