Police investigate homicide after 20-year-old man was shot and killed in east Tulsa

UPDATE (7/29/2024) — Police are investigating a homicide after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed in east Tulsa on Sunday.

Tulsa Police identified the victim as 20-year-old Jose Gomez Ramos.

Police said officers responded to a shooting in the Aldi's parking lot near East 21st Street and South 129th East Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Ramos dead in the parking lot from a gunshot wound to the head.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance video from the area to learn what led up to the shooting and who may have been involved, Tulsa Police said.

TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department said a man is dead after a shooting Sunday morning in east Tulsa.

Police say a man was shot around 3:30 a.m. near East 21st Street and South 129th East Avenue, but the incident remains under investigation.

Police say there is currently no suspect in custody.
