June is a pivotal of a month as there is in the recruiting calendar, with official visits taking place — and often leading to commitments. While most of those come in July and August for the majority of top prospects, a good number are ready to get their recruitments over and focus on their senior seasons early.

A few schools were able to take advantage of their four official visit weekends in a major way by landing top commitments, including the five programs below:

    Alabama

    Total June Commitments : 9
Avg. Rating per Commit : 92.28

No program has been hotter on the recruiting trail in the month of June than Alabama . Last week, the Crimson Tide added their first five-star commitment of the cycle with Mission Viejo (Calif.) cornerback Dijon Lee announcing for Alabama over Washington, Georgia and Texas.

His addition capped off a stupendous month for Kalen DeBoer and Co., where they nabbed nine commitments from positional players, as well as punter Alex Asparuhov .

In the past two weeks alone, the Tide have landed Lee, Flowood (Miss.) Hartfield Academy three-star defensive lineman London Simmons , Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley four-star linebacker Dawson Merritt , Carmel (Calif.) four-star offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd , and Mobile (Ala.) Vigor four-star interior lineman Micah DeBose . Duncanville (Texas) four-star quarterback Keelon Russell flipped to the Tide from SMU on June 4 and is the No. 8 QB in the cycle. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star cornerback Chuck McDonald and Doylestown (Pa.) Central Bucks East four-star interior offensive lineman Michael Carroll also joined the fold in June.

    Georgia

    Total June Commitments : 8
Avg. Rating per Commit : 91.81

If there’s a program who came close to matching Alabama’s month on the recruiting front, it’s SEC rival Georgia. The Bulldogs came into June hovering just inside the top-10 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings but quickly reminded everyone why they’ve won two of the last three national titles.

After securing five-star linebacker Zayden Walker early in the month, Kirby Smart and Co. went on a tear that included landing: five-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson ; four-star wideouts Talyn Taylor and Tyler Williams ; four-star defensive lineman Christian Garrett ; four-star offensive lineman Dontrell Glover ; four-star athlete Todd Robinson ; and three-star wideout Landon Roldan .

The ‘Dawgs now sit comfortably inside the top five and have a pair of massive targets still on the board with five-star defensive linemen Elijah Griffin and Justus Terry .

    Oregon

    Total June Commitments : 7
Avg. Rating per Commit : 91.9

Dan Lanning taking the job at Oregon has made the Ducks one of the nation’s premier recruiting destinations. And that’s again reflected this cycle. After finishing third nationally in the 2024 class, UO is back inside the top five again in 2025 following a huge June.

Four-stars Jordon Davison , DaSaahn Brame , Brandon Finney , Ziyare Addison and Josiah Sharma all joined the fold for the Ducks over the past 30 days, as did massive offensive lineman Demetri Manning . But the cherry on top for Lanning and Co. was pulling five-star cornerback Dorian Brew out of Texas and away from the Longhorns, USC, and Ohio State.

Now with a pair of five-star commitments, the Ducks are sitting pretty heading into a massive season on the field this fall.

    Ohio State

    Total June Commitments : 9
Avg. Rating per Commit : 90.81

The Buckeyes came into the month with the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, and they leave with that title as well. Three five-stars are already in the class — quarterback Tavien St. Clair and cornerbacks Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez — but June was about adding more key pieces around them. They did exactly that with nine total additions. On the offensive side, wide receiver Quincy Porter gave them another elite wide receiver target, and running backs Bo Jackson and Isaiah West filled two holes there.

In-state offensive lineman Jake Cook added to their offensive line haul, and three-stars Bodpegn Miller and Brody Lennon give St. Clair more weapons at his disposal in the passing game. On the other side of the ball, they closed on coveted four-star safety Faheem Delane , as well as top-100 EDGE Zion Grady and On300 defensive lineman Trajen Odom .

With 21 spots already filled, the Buckeyes are now focused on some big game hunting between now and signing day in December.

    Penn State

    Total June Commitments : 9
Avg. Rating per Commit : 90.31

The Nittany Lions have become known as a program who identifies top targets and lands a bunch of early commitments under James Franklin. This cycle is no different, as Penn State holds 20 total commitments as we close the month of June. And nearly half of those came over the past four weeks.

It would be hard to argue any program loaded up on defensive talent more than PSU, as they landed: four-star cornerbacks Daryus Dixson and Jahmir Joseph ; high three-star cornerback Antonio Branch ; four-star EDGEs Cortez Harris and Jayden Woods ; four-star linebacker Max Granville ; and three-star safety Braswell Thomas .

They added a few major offensive targets as well with On3 top-10 running back Jabree Wallace-Coleman and four-star receiver Jeff Exinor joining the class well. The Nittany Lions sit at No. 13 nationally and still have some runway to move up heading into the December signing period.
