Since Nick Saban took over at Alabama in 2007, the Crimson Tide has dominated college football. During his 17 years at the helm, Saban won over 87% of his games and six national championships.

Saban announced his retirement this offseason and has been replaced by former Washington Huskies' head coach Kalen DeBoer. Many are now questioning the impact of Saban's departure on the Crimson Tide.

One area that has declined is Alabama's national championship odds. According to Fox Sports , Alabama is at 14-1 to win a title, its lowest preseason National Championship odds since Saban’s second season in 2008, when it was 60-1.

Although the Crimson Tide lost Saban, there are still plenty of reasons for optimism, mainly the return of quarterback Jalen Milroe. Milroe has the 4th best odds to win the Heisman Trophy, trailing behind Georgia's Carson Beck, Texas' Quinn Ewers, and Oregon's Dillon Gabriel.

But the schedule isn't easy. Alabama will play road games against Wisconsin, Tennessee, LSU and Oklahoma and a home game against Georgia in 2024.

Despite having the lowest championship odds in nearly 15 years, Alabama still holds a top-10 position. So, it doesn't appear the Crimson Tide will be going anywhere.
