The Alabama football program has done a great job in recruiting this offseason with Kalen DeBoer leading the way. Several five-star athletes have verbally committed to the Crimson Tide. However, one elite commit is now set to visit two rival SEC schools in August before making a final decision.
Five-star wide receiver, Caleb Cunningham, will reportedly visit both Auburn and Ole Miss, according to Joseph Hastings of On3 Sports. Cunningham does claim loyalty ahead of his visits though, as he lets Alabama fans know he doesn't plan on flipping whatsoever.
"People can talk, but I know I'm locked in. I'm not going anywhere."
Although Caleb Cunningham states he's committed to Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide, there's always a chance that Auburn or Ole Miss could potentially sway him. Cunningham verbally committed to Alabama earlier in July. However, nothing is set in stone until signing day in February 2025.
This is a rather normal process of recruiting. However, considering the five-star wide receiver is vocally claiming he's going to play for Alabama, you'd think Cunningham wouldn't even bother visiting Auburn or Ole Miss. But thanks to the NIL, some programs pay recruits just to visit the school.
With that said, it's currently unknown if that's the case for Caleb Cunningham. So, for now, we should expect him to remain loyal to Alabama. Auburn and Ole Miss are likely going to have to blow Cunningham's mind on his visits for him to flip.

With Alabama officially in a new era, many are wondering if the Crimson Tide can remain on top of the college football world. Kalen DeBoer inherited a fantastic roster from Nick Saban and seems to be doing just fine landing talented recruits.
This offseason, DeBoer has reeled in four five-star commits including wide receiver, Caleb Cunningham. The Crimson Tide has also acquired 12 four-star athletes as well. Kalen DeBoer's team is currently ranked No. 2 in recruiting, per 247 Sports.
Expectations remain high in Alabama, as the Crimson Tide aim for another playoff appearance. Luckily for them, Nick Saban's replacement is a known winner. Throughout his career, Kalen DeBoer holds an impressive 104-12 record as a head coach. He's also 12-2 against teams ranked in the top 25.
Last season, DeBoer coached the Washington Huskies to a National Championship run but lost to Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. Now that he's in Alabama, Kalen DeBoer plans to maintain his winning ways and finally earn a title win.
