Man charged in Va Beach stabbings and fatal MD crash in jail upon hospital release
PRINCE GEORGE’S CO, MD (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – The man facing charges after allegedly stabbing his estranged wife and her juvenile daughter in Virginia Beach before taking off with their three children before crashing in Maryland appeared in a Maryland courtroom Monday. 36-year old Dana Plummer was released from the hospital and remanded directly to jail before his court appearance, and to the jail he has returned. He faces charges in Virginia Beach involving the stabbings and parental abduction.
Hood Board of Trustees Welcomes Two New Members
Marylou Herrmann Foley '64 and Veleka Peeples-Dyer have been appointed to the Hood College Board of Trustees following the Board’s June meeting. Foley earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Hood in 1964 before receiving a master’s degree in social studies from Eastern Michigan University. Professionally, Foley has 13 years of educational experience, ranging from high school teacher to university student affairs, foreign student and study abroad advisor. Foley served as president and CEO of Tour Designs Inc. for more than 40 years, planning and hosting special interest and study-abroad tours in dozens of countries and cities across the globe.

Trump campaign office burglarized in Virginia: suspect with criminal history identified
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - A burglar who was caught on camera inside the Trump for President campaign office in Virginia has been identified as 39-year-old Toby Shane Kessler. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office recently announced it has issued an arrest warrant for Kessler in connection with the break-in. The office, located in the 20000 block of Ashbrook Place in Ashburn, also serves as the headquarters for the Virginia 10th District Republican Committee.
