I have a deep, personal connection to these sacred spaces. Growing up as an altar boy, then attending two Christian Universities, and being ordained many years ago, my life has been profoundly shaped by the church. There's something about sitting next to a stained glass window during a service that touches my soul in a way that nothing else can.
