One person dead following officer-involved crash on Abercorn Street
The Savannah Police Department has confirmed to WJCL 22 News that an officer hit a pedestrian on Abercorn Street early Wednesday morning. According to police on the scene, an officer was traveling south on Abercorn Street when a person stepped into the roadway. The officer hit the person who died as a result of the crash.

SAVANNAH – A Georgia man with multiple bank robbery convictions has been sentenced to federal prison for the second time.
