Forest City Juniors On Top Again: 5th Straight SCTP National Championship Win!
The Forest City Juniors from Forest City Gun Club in Savannah are in Marengo, Ohio. They are going for a fifth consecutive high overall team award in the varsity division at the annual Scholastic Clay Target Program National Championships. Savannah State University Presidential Search Committee holds first meeting
The Savannah State University Presidential Search Committee met for the first time on Thursday, July 18 on the SSU campus to establish goals, timelines, procedures and more as the group began the process for finding a full-time President to lead the historically Black university. University System of Georgia (USG) Chancellor Sonny Perdue was in attendance, as was a representative from AGB Search, a firm hired to bring in applicants for the committee to consider before they settle on a group of three to five finalists.

2nd Annual Teaching and Learning Conference Opens July 23
School resumes in a couple of weeks but already, teachers are hard at work getting ready for the new year. Nearly 1000 Savannah-Chatham County Public School educators across grades K-12 will attend the 2024 Teaching and Learning Conference on July 23 and 24. Presented by the SCCPSS Curriculum and Instruction Department, this exciting 2-day event will bring teachers together to engage in hands-on sessions and receive teaching and learning resources.
