One person was injured in a Livonia Township crash Sunday, Aug. 25 after not wearing a seat belt.

The two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 169 near 273rd Avenue and resulted in a rollover.

At approximately 7:55 p.m., Kyle Luukkonen, age 18, from Zimmerman, was traveling in a 2012 Ford F-250 pickup truck headed northbound on Highway 169 near 273rd Avenue in the right lane.

At the same time, headed the same direction in the same lane, Tate Skogquist, age 22, from Andover, was traveling in a 2014 Ford Taurus, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Luukkonen rear-ended the Taurus, which caused the pickup to roll over, the State Patrol reported.

Luukkonen and Skogquist were uninjured in the crash. However, the lone passenger in the F-250, Hailey Lottie, age 18, from Cedar, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, the State Patrol reported.

Lottie was transported to M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton for treatment. The sole passenger in the Taurus was not injured, the State Patrol reported.

According to the State Patrol, Lottie and Lukkonen were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. All other individuals involved were reported as wearing seat belts.

According to the State Patrol, road conditions were dry and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The Zimmerman Fire Department and Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office assisted the State Patrol at the scene.
