Scott Bennett Family Resources Day coming to Urbana in August

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — Family resource organizations in Champaign-Urbana will be coming together in late August to offer their services as part of an event honoring the late Senator Scott Bennett.

Scott Bennett Family Resources Day will take place at Lincoln Square Mall on Aug. 23. People in need of help are encouraged to attend and connect with resources from local organizations that offer child and family, health and wellbeing and legal services.

Organizations that will be there include Crisis Nursery, the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, Rosecrance Behavioral Health, the Champaign County State’s Attorney and Circuit Clerk’s Offices and more.

The event is being organized by State Senator Paul Faraci, the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office, Champaign County Regional Planning Commission and the MTD. People with questions about the event can call 217-384-3733.
