Georgia Bulldogs offensive guard Dylan Fairchild has been ranked among The Athletic’s “College football Freaks List 2024.” Bruce Feldman considers Fairchild to be the No. 43 biggest athletic freak in the country.

Fairchild is Georgia’s starting left guard. He started 14 games a year ago and is arguably Georgia’s top pass blocker. The talented offensive lineman made the All-SEC second team, but he still rotates with fellow left guard Micah Morris, who is an excellent run blocker.

Fairchild and the Georgia offensive line will be pivotal for the Bulldogs to have a successful 2024 season. Georgia will lean on its veteran offensive line to play well in road games at Texas, Alabama and Ole Miss this fall.

Of all the elite talent in their program, Georgia coaches said Fairchild is their biggest freak. A former two-time Georgia state heavyweight wrestling champ who went 67-0 with 67 pins in his junior and senior years of high school, Fairchild bench pressed 440 pounds, squatted, 570 and power cleaned 370 this offseason. The 6-5, 315-pound fourth-year junior has a 26-inch vertical and broad-jumped 9-2. (Bruce Feldman/The Athletic)

Fairchild and Tate Ratledge form one of the top offensive guard duos in the country.

It is surprising to see a pair of Bulldogs with elite athleticism snubbed from Feldman’s list. All-SEC first-team performers Mykel Williams and Malaki Starks are freak athletes and will be first-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft as long as they avoid injury. Additionally, senior wide receiver Arian Smith is one of the fastest players in the country and also deserves consideration.
