The Buffalo Bills will not have All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano in their lineup for most, if not all, of the 2024 season after he has sustained a serious injury.

Milano, 30, left practice earlier this week after grabbing his arm. ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported that Milano sustained a torn bicep and will be out indefinitely. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott went on to confirm the news:

At the workout when Milano was injured, he left the practice and stopped working out but he stayed on the sideline and did not go in the locker room. That instilled some hope it was not going to be a serious injury but it is.

Milano’s return was one of the most anticipated storylines in Buffalo ahead of the upcoming season. He is coming off a season-ending leg injury from the 2023 season. The year prior, he was named a first-team All-Pro.

Without Milano, linebacker Dorian Williams is the likely next-man up in Buffalo’s lineup. Williams was a third-round pick of the team at the 2023 NFL draft.

Bills Wire will provide updates as information is made available.
