The Cardinals opened the preseason with a 16-14 last-second loss to the visiting New Orleans Saints Aug. 10, covering as 3-point underdogs. The Under (38.5) cashed in.
The Colts also lost their preseason opener, falling 34-30 at home to the Denver Broncos as 1.5-point favorites Sunday as the Over (38.5) hit.

Neither team will play their starters this weekend. It will be a battle of backups and guys just trying to make an NFL roster.
There is never a reliable way to handicap preseason games. They are volatile.
The only way to bet the preseason is to simply take the plus odds on the moneyline on a few games and hope you hit at least half of them.
BET CARDINALS (+110).
Again, with games being decided late by players who largely won’t be on NFL rosters next month, there is no way to feel confident in a winning outcome, especially when no starters will play.
PASS.
The Cardinals only allowed 16 points last week and only scored 14, but all 14 came in the 2nd half.
The Colts allowed 34 last week. There are concerns with their defensive depth.
