Former North Carolina Tar Heels’ wing Paxson Wojcik only played one season in Chapel Hill, joining the program as a transfer. With Wokcik’s dad being on the staff from 2000-03, it made sense for him to get to Chapel Hill and go back to his roots for his final college season.

Now, Wojcik is heading overseas to continue his basketball career.

Wojcik has signed a deal with Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski in Poland, a team that plays in the Polish Basketball League. The 24-year-old will join the team for the upcoming season, marking his next stop in his career overseas.

The guard played five years of college basketball with his first two at Loyola Chicago. From there he went to Brown for two seasons before ending it at North Carolina.

While he only averaged 1.6 points and 1 rebound per game for UNC, he had a big year for Brown in 2022-23. With Brown, he averaged 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, a career-high for him.

Wojcik’s father is currently an assistant coach at Michigan State. The two faced off when UNC beat Michigan State in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
