Despite Texas A&M’s 2024 season-opening loss to Notre Dame , new head coach Mike Elko’s recruiting chops can’t be denied after his work in the 2025 recruiting cycle, as the program hosted more than 100 prospects during the weekend.

Again, the 2024 team may have lost 23-13 on Saturday night. Still, Kyle Field was rocking, and the overall environment attending an A&M home game offers continues to impact visiting recruits more than the games being played.

With the focus quickly shifting to the 2026 recruiting class, one of the weekend’s priority visitors included 2026 5-star safety Bralan Womack. After his weekend in College Station, Womack spoke with 247Sports’ Tom Loy about his meeting with Elko and A&M cornerbacks coach Ishmael Aristide after the game.

“I met with coach Elko and coach Ish after the game,” Womack stated. “We talked about some key plays that the defense left out there. The offense couldn’t really pull out that big play to get them going.”

Concerning what Kyle Field had to offer on game day, Womack stated that Texas A&M’s staff took care of him and his family. While he spoke with multiple fans who made him feel at home, he felt the staff made him feel like the high-priority prospect he is.

According to 247Sports Composite, Womack is currently the 24th-ranked prospect, the No. 2-ranked safety prospect, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Mississippi.
