LSU takes a tumble in latest US LBM Coaches Poll after loss to USC in season-opener

LSU began the 2024 campaign ranked inside the top 15, but after it dropped its season-opening contest to USC 27-20 in Las Vegas on Sunday night, the team is taking a tumble in the polls.

The Tigers ranked No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll entering the contest, but following the loss, they’ve now dropped seven spots to No. 19 as they prepare for their Week 2 home opener against Nicholls.

LSU is now one of eight ranked SEC teams after Texas A&M dropped out following its loss to Notre Dame.

With Week 1 in the books and a new coaches poll out, here’s how LSU stacks up against the rest of the country entering Week 2.
