    Where Clemson ranks in Week 2 US LBM Coaches Poll after crushing App State

    Clemson is back on the move in the new US LBM Coaches Poll , released Sunday.

    The Tigers rose two spots to No. 20 after their 66-20 win over Appalachian State Saturday night in Clemson Memorial Stadium. With NC State’s blowout loss to No. 9 Tennessee, Dabo Swinney’s team is one of only three ACC teams to place in the Coaches Poll this week.

    Miami moved up three spots to No. 12 after taking care of business at home against Florida A&M on Saturday. Louisville rose three spots to No. 21 after beating Jacksonville State, 49-14.

    The top six teams in the Coaches Poll all remained the same. Georgia stayed at No. 1 with Ohio State at No. 2. Texas (No. 3), Alabama (No. 4) and Ole Miss (No. 5) rounded out the top five, while Oregon stayed at No. 6 after another close call at home for the second week in a row. The Ducks survived Boise State, 37-34, in Eugene.

    Missouri climbed three spots to No. 7, Penn State stayed at No. 8, Tennessee moved up three spots to No. 9, and Utah rose one spot to No. 10.

    Notre Dame suffered the biggest drop of any team ranked in the Coaches Poll after its stunning 16-14 home loss to Northern Illinois. The Irish plummeted 12 spots to land at No. 19, one spot above Clemson. Notre Dame had been a 28-point favorite over the Huskies.
