Investigators Seek Crime Scene After Shooting Victims, One Dead, Brought to Escondido Hospital
A 19-year-old man is dead and two people are in critical condition after a shooting Saturday at an unknown location in San Diego County, authorities said. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department received reports at around 2:25 a.m. Saturday of four victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds who later arrived at Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, according to sheriff’s officials.
News Release - Residential Structure Fire
On July 21, 2024 at approximately 12:37 p.m., units from the Escondido Fire Department along with an engine from Rancho Santa Fe FPD were dispatched to a residential structure fire near the 1400 block of Gamble Ln. While responding, the first due engine reported black smoke in the area and requested a working fire upgrade. The initial report on conditions from the first arriving unit identified a small residence with fire near the front porch extending towards the attached garage.
