SAN MARCOS — An expansion of the Hughes Circuits campus in San Marcos will be able to move forward after the City Council unanimously rejected an appeal of the project by an environmental group last week. County supervisor faces crowd opposed to campus for healing in Vista
A plan to buy a ranch in Vista and build a healing campus has sparked community controversy. On Sunday, County Supervisor Jim Desmond faced the crowds to answer their questions. KPBS North County reporter Tania Thorne was there. News of the county’s intent to purchase Green Oak Ranch hasn’t sat...
One Lane of Highway 154 to Reopen on Fourth of July
The good news is the San Marcos Pass will open again. The bad news is that it will be slow going. Caltrans announced on July 2 that State Route 154 will reopen at a yet-to-be-determined hour on the Fourth of July. The signals will be between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road.

I arrived over an hour late and still sat there for hours waiting for the “public comments” time for subjects not on the published agenda. That was when the pro-Hamas crowd started to demand that anti-Israel resolutions be placed on a future agenda.
