Bath Township Fire Department provides update on mulch fire at Resource Recycling
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - New details are coming out about yesterday's fire at Resource Recycling. The Bath Township Fire Department arrived at the large blaze at around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday. Materials on fire included mulch, cut trees, brush, large industrial crane mats, and pallets. Eighteen agencies from four different counties assisted. Containing the fire was made more difficult because there was not a fire hydrant nearby, and trucks had to travel back and forth to one around a third of a mile away from the scene.

Commissioners OK Children Services levy, discuss plans for regional sewer district
The Lorain County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Friday to place a 1.8-mill, five-year renewal levy for Lorain County Children Services on the November ballot. A Teacher’s Perspective: George Washington and the Principles of the Constitution

At the beginning of the term, in each of my American Government courses, I provide every student with a pocket Constitution. This typically leads to a student asking, “When do we get our textbook?” I respond by telling them that the Constitution is their textbook – that political scientists do not spend time studying textbooks. I go on to tell them that in our class they will learn American government by studying primary sources. Some of my favorites to introduce are the letters of George Washington.
