Family of St. Louisan competing in 2024 Olympics still needs help getting to Paris
ST. LOUIS — A Florissant native and former McCluer North High School student has a shot at Olympic gold in Paris, but his family is struggling to get there to cheer him on. Freddie Crittenden III will be part of Team USA in the hurdles, crediting St. Louis with much of his hurdling success.
Mizzou-themed sports bar planned in Soulard
ST. LOUIS — A new Mizzou-themed sports bar has plans to open at the former site of Llywelyn's Pub in Soulard. Ray’s SportsHouse expects to open in early to mid-August at 1732 S. Ninth St. The new restaurant is owned by Corbin Ray, a 2021 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Nine Spartans Named to College Stunt Coaches Association Honor Roll
ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University had nine student-athletes named to the College STUNT Coaches Association (CSCA) Honor Roll. Nominated athletes have a cumulative GPA above 3.50 and have completed a minimum of 24 credits/units at their current STUNT institution. Ciara Mallqui-Thomas, Kylie Lamb, and Grace Ketterer added the CSCA Honor Roll to go with their CSCA All-America selections announced in May. Aaliyah Foster, Alanah Williams, Isabel Huenink, Jordan Tinker, Maddie Kandlbinder, and Olivia Topping all made the honor roll as well after posting GPAs north of 3.50. CLARKSVILLE, TN – Team Tennessee took 27 of their best female high school wrestlers to USA Wrestling’s National Freestyle Championships in Fargo, North Dakota July 13-14, also called the 2024 U.S. Marine Corps Junior and 16U Nationals. The event had over 8,000 entries this year, competing in Fargodome on the campus of North Dakota State University.

Mike Shannon is among the most significant individuals synonymous with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. Born in St. Louis on July 15th, 1939, Shannon grew up in the area and attended Clayton's Christian Brothers College High School. He was an outstanding athlete, winning the Missouri Prep Player of the Year in football and basketball.
