    May 4 races headed to runoffs

    HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Several races from Saturday’s election are going to a runoff.

    In Cameron County, the following races are headed to a run off:

    • Cameron County Appraisal District Board of Directors Place 1
    • Cameron County Appraisal District Board of Directors Place 2
    • TSC District Board of Trustees Place 6
    • TSC District Board of Trustees Place 7

    The runoff for these races is scheduled for June 15.

    In Hidalgo County the race for Palmview Council Member Place 1 is heading to a runoff.

    A date for this runoff has not been released.

    Candidates who campaigned against corruption win Progreso ISD election

    We also have an update on two Brownsville Navigation District Commissioner races.

    These races will not go to a runoff. The candidate with the most votes wins.

    That means Ernie Gutierrez is the Commissioner for Place 1 and John Reed wins the race for Brownsville Navigation District Commissioner Place 3.
