Dr. Pepper and pickles? How Texan is this drink?

HARLINGEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — There is no doubt Dr. Pepper and pickles in a movie theater are a Texas staple.

But would you put pickles in your Dr. Pepper?

A social media influencer went viral after ordering a large Dr. Pepper with pickles at a Sonic drive-thru. The video has gotten multiple recreations as other creators and food chains, such as Cinemark, try the unique drink.

Our ValleyCentral anchor Sonya Hill and ValleyStormTeam Chief Meteorologist Freddy Vela got the drink, tried it and discussed how many yee-haws this creation is.

Individually, Sonya and Freddy rated Dr. Pepper and Pickles as five yee-haws. However, both ingredients mixed together gave an interesting taste.

Sonya describes the drink as jalapeno juice and leaves it a rating of three out of five yee-haws. Freddy on the other hand left it as a two out of five yee-haws.
