San Benito to hand out sand bags

SAN BENITO, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — In preparation for hurricane season the City of San Benito is being proactive and will be distributing sandbags.

Sand distributions will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1, at the City Service Center, located at 925 W. Stenger St.

Six sandbags will be distributed per household or business.

Residents must have a valid proof of residency such as a utility bill, ID or legal document to be considered.
