My visit to Juniper Bar and Restaurant was a delightful experience. The beef was incredibly tender and the mushrooms and cheese on bread were simply amazing. Even the carrots, which I'm not usually a fan of, were prepared so deliciously that I found myself eating a lot.

The lounge area was pet-friendly, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was commendable, with an appetizer and main meal arriving in just about 15 minutes. The food was delicious, although I was a bit surprised to find bacon in the turkey sandwich, which wasn't clearly listed on the menu. The appetizers were small in size but big on flavor, especially the Maple nut appetizer.

The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with lighting that gave the impression of shining through trees. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was one I'd recommend. One thing that stood out was their private label gin, a barrel selection of Tom Cat from Barr Hill. It was a bit more boozy than the regular Tom Cat, which I personally enjoyed.

The restaurant is located in Hotel Vermont, and while the temperature was a bit warm and the food menu somewhat limited, the extensive drink menu made up for it. The charcuterie and cheese plate was generously portioned and the shrimp toast with fiddleheads was exceptional. The rhum cake, recommended by our server, was served with an unusual but delicious molasses caramel.

Every time I'm in Burlington, I make it a point to have breakfast here. They even offer fresh house-made sriracha and salsa verde to go with the eggs. The relaxed atmosphere filled with healthy plants makes it a perfect spot to start your day.

While it may not be my first choice for celebrating a special occasion, Juniper Bar and Restaurant is definitely worth a try for its unique dishes, extensive drink menu, and cozy atmosphere.
