Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting The Vermont Pub & Brewery, a charming little pub nestled on a corner overlooking City Hall Park. The atmosphere was lively, with funky music that paired perfectly with their unique brews. I sampled 12 different beers, each one more intriguing than the last. The Dark Star Stout and Forbidden Fruit were particularly memorable, with bold flavors that struck a perfect balance between tart and sweet.

Parking was a breeze, with a public lot conveniently located near Church Street, just a short walk away. Once inside, I was quickly seated and decided to split the pretzel bites before diving into a Vermont Maple Burger. The service was top-notch, and the pay-from-your-phone feature was a cool touch. The locally sourced beef in the burger was flavorful, and the onion rings added a nice crisp finish. I also tried the poutine, which was delicious and not at all soggy.

However, not everything was perfect. I was excited to try their award-winning mac and cheese, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. It lacked flavor and seemed to be missing some salt. Despite this minor hiccup, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the friendly staff made up for it. If you're a fan of unique beers and a vibrant atmosphere, The Vermont Pub & Brewery is definitely worth a visit.
