After a long day exploring the nearby slopes, my friends and I decided to unwind at Matterhorn Restaurant, known for its cozy ambiance and stunning Riverview. The place was buzzing with energy, especially since we arrived on a band day, adding a lively backdrop to our meal. We were seated promptly despite the crowd, and the service was friendly throughout our visit. The Matterhorn poke bowl was a standout, bursting with flavors that were a delightful surprise. The truffle fries were another hit, perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. However, the pizza, while tasty, had a crust that left a bit more to be desired.
While the food generally impressed us, there were a few hiccups. The dishes were a bit on the oily side, and the wait times were inconsistent, with some meals arriving much later than others. Additionally, the lack of hot beverages was a slight letdown, particularly in the chilly mountain air. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was enjoyable, highlighted by the exceptional poke bowl and the warm, inviting setting by the river and fireplace. It's a place I'd revisit, perhaps with a reservation next time to ensure a smoother experience.
