Cape Hatteras Elementary and Cape Hatteras Secondary schools in Dare County will operate on a 3-hour delay due to weather conditions Monday morning.

The elementary school will start at 10:50 a.m. and the secondary school will start at 11:30 a.m., according to the division’s school start times.

A coastal flood warning and high surf advisory are in effect for the area, and the weather is likely to cause dangerous conditions on the roads. The district will provide updates if needed.

All other schools in the division will follow regular schedules.
