Preview: FUNGO host Gliders to end season series

On July 16, the Wake Forest FUNGO will take on the Oak City Gliders.

This will be the sixth matchup between the two rivals this season, as the Gliders have taken the victory in three of the last five.

The FUNGO have been the only team the Gliders could find much success against, as their three wins over the FUNGO make for three of just four divisional wins for the Gliders in their 19 divisional matchups.

The last time these two squads faced off was Sunday, July 14 at Optimist Park. The Gliders took the win in the game, downing FUNGO 8-3.

A win over the Gliders on the 16th is important for FUNGO as it would bring their total divisional record to an even 9-9. This would be significant as it would place FUNGO half a game behind the No. 2 place 8-6 Reidsville Luckies who have lost their previous three divisional matchups.

A win would also tie up the season series against the Gliders at 3-3 each.

Gameday

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on July 16.

The game will be played in Wake Forest, N.C. at Flaherty Park.
