Last night, Boston police took into custody 58-year-old Jesus Garcia of Haverhill after a reported armed robbery occurred on Massachusetts Avenue near Boylston Street. BOSTON – A Massachusetts man has been sentenced in federal court in Boston for cocaine related offenses. According to the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 55-year-old Francisco Restrepo Mesa of Revere was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper to 68 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. In April 2024, Restrepo pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
Man Shot Dead by Forest Hills Station
A man was shot dead on Sunday night near the Forest Hills T station. Boston Police responded to a report of a person shot at New Washington Street and Arborway around 10:17 pm. Police located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
