Getting to Know Bryson Stephens

WALNUT COVE — South Stokes’ Bryson Stephens, known for his personality and humor, is looking forward to school in the fall and playing a bigger role on the boys’ basketball team.

Stephens played both football and basketball during his junior year, but basketball is his favorite sport and is something he has always done.

Walnut Cove is special to him because of all of his friendships he has made over the years and one of the hardest lessons he has learned is to be forgiving and not let his emotions control him or who he is.

After graduation, Bryson plans to try and do more with sports whether it will be playing or coaching or something in construction or landscaping.

The Stokes News was able to catch up with Bryson and he allowed us to get to know him on a more personal level by answering the following questions:

Biggest Influence: My dad showing me how to be a good person and helping me grow closer to God

Pets: Two dogs, one is a German Shepard mix, and the other is a Pomeranian

Favorite Teacher/Coach: Mrs. (Leah) Barczy, she is one of the nicest and is very helpful. My favorite coach is Jason Clark. He is always willing to help and assist me anyway that he can

Dream Vacation: The Bahamas

Dream Job: Anything that has something to do with sports and pays good

Hobbies: Playing video games, basketball, and hanging out with friends

Favorite Athlete: Tom Brady, he shows no matter what you do in your life there will always be people who will still try and downplay you
