Ribbon Cutting for Second Pop-Up Store in Knox Held
The City of Knox held a ribbon cutting and open house downtown Wednesday for their second pop-up store. In a previous Knox City Council meeting, Mayor Dennis Estok announced a second pop-up store would be opening at 6 North Main Street. He stated the pop-up store will offer low cost start up fees to small businesses with the hope of giving them a head start in becoming successful. It was noted this program is designed to attract small businesses and create retail shopping in downtown Knox. Business owners will have an opportunity to sell and showcase products and services of interest to area residents and tourists.
Knox Board of Public Works Updated on Storm Clean Up Efforts
The Knox Board of Public Works heard an update on clean up efforts from recent storm damage during their meeting Wednesday. City of Knox Street Superintendent Jeff Borg announced his department had 92 dump truck loads of debris cleaned up from the storm. It was noted they had finished their clean up effort on Tuesday. City of Knox Mayor Dennis Estok thanked the street department for their effort in cleaning up the debris swiftly. He stated the work that went in last week can not go unnoticed.
