FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Conference play is kicking off in bulk across northeast Indiana for week three of the high school football season.

Justin Kenny from Optimum Performance Sports sat down with WANE 15 Sports Reporter Josh Ayen to look back on non-conference play, plus look ahead to week three as conference championship races begin in earnest.

Coming off a nailbiting win at New Haven, Bishop Luers hosts Northrop in your Highlight Zone Game of the Week. Despite falling to Huntington North last week, the Bruins feature several Division I prospects at wide receiver. Meanwhile, Snider kicks off SAC play against a 2-0 Concordia squad. Other SAC matchups involve Bishop Dwenger visiting North Side, Carroll hosting South Side and Wayne going to Homestead.

In the NE8, East Noble looks to shake off a loss at Snider against 2-0 Huntington North. Leo looks to keep rolling at home against Norwell. DeKalb and New Haven are also colliding after both teams fell in heartbreaking fashion in week two.

In the ACAC, Bluffton and South Adams are set to battle, along with Heritage and Woodlan. Adams Central continues non-conference play at the Landing Strip against Muncie Central.

In the NECC, West Noble is hosting Eastside in a battle of the two division champions from last year. Other top matchups in the conference include 2-0 Prairie Heights visiting Lakeland and Angola heading to Fremont.

Tune in to the Highlight Zone on Friday at 11 p.m. for week three coverage across northeast Indiana!
