Though Washington Capitals forward T.J. Oshie found himself on the wrong side of a high hit from New York Rangers star Artemi Panarin in Game 2, he believed that no call was the right call.

Back in Game 2 on Tuesday, Oshie was skating when Panarin went in for a big hit, catching him up high. He made head contact on the play, leading Oshie to be pulled by a concussion spotter before returning several minutes later.

The 37-year-old told Paul Bissonnette on NHL on TNT pregame that he had no problems with the Panarin hit, which was reviewed for a major penalty but ultimately rescinded.

"Me personally I thought the Panarin hit was good. I love that. I think that's what it should be called," Oshie said. "When you go through someone's body, sometimes obviously you're gonna hit the head on accident.  But I kinda like that style of play."

Oshie's teammates rushed to his aid, as Connor McMichael stepped up and went after Panarin following the play, leading to a roughing penalty and ensuing power play for the Rangers.

Tom Wilson said it seemed as though Panarin went after Oshie while he was in a vulnerable spot, and was critical of No. 10's approach.

"It's one of those things that looks like he's going after him a little bit. Osh is in a vulnerable spot and he gets him high. I don't know if he gets him in the head... It's one of those things where everybody stands up, you know, he definitely went after him," Wilson said. "So that's playoff hockey and you're gonna get hit, you're gonna give hits. I think Osh is okay, so that's the main thing."
