    Where to watch the Euro 2024 tournament in D.C.

    The summer of soccer is here with the UEFA Euro 2024 Cup , and D.C. bars will be showing the matches and kicking in special deals.

    State of play: The tournament begins with 24 teams across six groups , and 16 will advance to the knockout stages.


    • Host country Germany plays Scotland in the opener on Friday at 3pm ET. The final: On July 14 in Berlin.

    Fun fact: Cristiano Ronaldo , 39, is back with Portugal for a record sixth time in the Euros.

    Where to watch

    Wunder Garten: The German embassy and Scottish government will host a watch party at the NoMA beer garden for Friday's opener. And on Thursday, June 20, the British and Danish embassies are partnering for a viewing of England vs. Denmark.

    Fairmont: It's "Soccer Central" at the Georgetown hotel, with big screen games, English pub fare, and a foosball table. Matches will be live Sunday through Thursday from 5pm to 11pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 4pm until midnight. 2401 M St. NW

    Stellina Pizzeria: Grab a $25 Euro Cup happy hour special: one drink, 8-inch Margherita pizza, homemade chips, arancino, and mozzarella in carrozza. All matches are televised at its locations in Union Market, Mt. Vernon Triangle, Shirlington, and Tysons.

    Franklin Hall: All matches will be shown with extended hours at the spacious beer hall. Daily specials include boneless wings on Wednesdays and $14 Narragansett pitchers on Thursdays. 1348 Florida Ave. NW

    The Midlands: The indoor-outdoor sports bar with 18 TV screens will open at 9am for all early matches. Specials include 64-oz pitchers and pop-ups from Stable DC and Steak Frites DC during Switzerland matches. 3333 Georgia Ave. NW

    The Queen Vic: D.C.'s official Liverpool FC bar will be open for the kickoff and all England matches. (All other matches during its standard open hours will also be shown live.) 1206 H St. NE

    The Square Food Hall : Weekdays catch the action at the Tapas Bar and The Atrium Bar. Saturday matches are on a 14-foot big screen at the Atrium Bar. 1850 K St. NW

    Astro Beer Hall : The space-themed Shirlington sports bar will open doors early for weekday matches. The brunch menu is available on weekends as well, including crispy fried chicken and Belgian waffles. 4001 Campbell Ave. Arlington
