    Here's what's happening in D.C. this weekend

    This weekend in D.C., check out Father's Day events, Annual Columbia Heights Day, Taste of DMV, a Juneteenth festival and more.


    1. 🕺Celebrate Father's Day

    With Father's Day on Sunday, this weekend's events are for the dads.

    For the car dad: CarCoterie , an exhibition of rare and collector cars, will take over CityCenterDC and display 25 vintage and hyper cars, 10am–4pm Saturday. There will be wine, drinks and live music. Free.

    👶 For the toddler dad: Enjoy games, competitions with dad, food, live music, kids crafts, bounce houses and face painting at Kids and Family Festival , noon–6pm Sunday at Shipgarten in Tysons Corner. Free.

    🍸 For the bar dad: Learn how to craft three cocktails paired with light bites at Father's Day Mixology Class , 5–7pm Sunday at Logan Tavern in Logan Circle. Tickets are $128 .

    🏇 For the sporty dad: Watch polo matches on the National Mall at the 2024 District Cup , 11:30am–4:30pm at West Potomac Park. Tickets are $95 .

    🎵 For all the music dads: Listen to live music across five outdoor stages as The Wharf kicks off its Brunch & Beats series, 3–6pm Sunday. Free. Make brunch reservations here .

    2. 🖤 Juneteenth Community Day Celebration

    • Celebrate Juneteenth with history, art, live performances and story time sessions at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, 11am–4:30pm Saturday. Free, register here .
    • Also, there will be an R&B Juneteenth Bar Crawl , 2–10pm Saturday on U Street.

    3. 🍴 Annual Taste of the DMV

    • Order from over 150 vendors and food trucks, and watch live performances from local cultural centers noon–7pm Saturday at 300 Pennsylvania Ave NW. Tickets are $10. Kids under 10 are free .

    4. 🎤 Sound & Spirits

    • Support local musicians, singers and artists at a live band open mic night 6–11pm Sunday at THRŌW Social in Ivy City. Free .

    5. 🥳 Annual Columbia Heights Day

    • Celebrate the Columbia Heights community with live music, vendors, carnival games, a salsa workshop, kid-friendly shows and more 11am–5pm Saturday at Harriet Tubman Elementary. Free.

    6. 🚲 Cycle for Change

    • Bike, walk or run through Anacostia Park to bring awareness to efforts to end gun violence in D.C., 2–7pm Saturday at Anacostia Park. Free .

    7. 🌈 DC Pride Crawl

    • Celebrate Pride with a bar crawl 2–10pm Saturday through Dupont Circle and all-day drink specials. Tickets start at $27 .

    8. 🧚 Blossom Ball

    • Put on your best botanical and whimsy attire and enjoy a fairy-themed fête with food, music, dancing, a tea party, scavenger hunt and more, 4-10pm Saturday in Temple Hills, Maryland. Tickets are $70 .
