    Person hurt after someone shoots firework at them in Northwest DC, MPD says

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault in Northwest D.C.

    Police said that on June 30 around 3:10 p.m., the suspect discharged a lit firework at the victim in the 1500 block of 9 th Street, Northwest.

    MPD said the victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

    The suspect, seen in the picture below, left the scene.

    Anyone with information should call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

    MPD currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
