    Man shot in Southeast DC dies at hospital

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said detectives were investigating after someone killed a man in Southeast early Friday morning.

    According to police, officers went to the 700 block of Upsal St. SE around 12:40 a.m. for a shooting. Once at the scene, police found that somebody drove 32-year-old Anthony Willis of Northwest, who had been shot, to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

    Police said hospital staff members tried to save Willis but he died.
