    This weekend in D.C., check out a Romanian cultural festival at The Wharf, Band Bash at City Ridge, Capital Fringe, Drafts & Crafts and more.


    1. ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด Celebrate Romanian culture

    You don't have to go all the way to Europe to experience Romania this summer.

    Driving the news: The nation's biggest Romanian cultural festival returns to The Wharf this weekend for year three.

    The vibe: The free three-day event will showcase traditional food, drinks, craft demonstrations, live music and dance performances.

    What they're saying: "The Romanian Weekend at The Wharf has reinvented the public and cultural diplomacy of Romania in the United States," Romanian Ambassador to the U.S. Andrei Muraru told Axios. "Massive in scale, with an ingenious programming, this tumultuous, diverse and participatory festival has grown year after year to become not only the milestone of Romanian cultural presence in America but also one of the most entertaining events of the D.C. summer."

    If you go: Programming will be 5โ€“9pm Friday, noonโ€“8pm Saturday and noonโ€“7pm Sunday at The Wharf.

    2. ๐ŸŽธ Fort Reno Concert

    • Listen to three local bands/musicians at Fort Reno's summer concert series 7โ€“9:30pm Thursday. Free.

    4. ๐ŸŽถ Band Bash

    • Listen to three local bands ranging from funk to rock and enjoy lawn games, giveaways and pop-up shops 4โ€“8pm Saturday at City Ridge. Free. RSVP here .

    5. ๐Ÿ’ƒ Friday Night Dancing

    • Take a swing dance lesson from local instructors at Transit Pier at The Wharf 7pm Friday. Free .

    6. ๐Ÿ‰ U.S. Men's Rugby

    • An American Series international rugby match is coming to Audi Field. The U.S. men's team will take on Scotland at 6:30pm Friday. Tickets start at $25 .

    8. ๐Ÿˆ D.C. Gay Flag Football League & Mystics Family Fun Day

    • Bring the family out for a day of flag football, basketball and other games 2โ€“6pm Sunday in Southeast. Tickets start at $35 .

    9. ๐Ÿ‰ Asia After Dark

    • Enjoy a Bruce Lee-themed night with DJ sets, a screening of "The Dragon Lives Again" and food and drinks 5โ€“8pm Saturday at the National Museum of Asian Art. Free. RSVP for the screening here .
