WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Amazon is promoting deals being offered for their 10th Prime event, days in advance and as competitors like Walmart and Target offer similar discounts to take on the online retail giant.

Throughout July 16 and 17, Amazon said deals for more than 35 categories include up to 50% off select Amazon devices, up to 68% off Ring doorbell cameras, and 20 to 40% off certain fashion brands and styles.

Consumers can also expect to see deals on beauty and home products, and even for travel ; Carnival cruises, rental cars and Southwest flight discounts among offers.

Despite the early promotion, Amazon won’t tell consumers all of the ways to save even more cash throughout the event. DC News Now has identified several tech tools to use that can price check other websites on products found on Amazon.

The Google Lens feature allows consumers to upload photos and camera access to capture images on Amazon, and Google will identify other websites where the product may be sold.

We checked browser extensions as well. Capital One’s browser extension identified several savings elsewhere, including for a pair of Nike sneakers.

Shoppers can also set price alerts when products you’re interested in become cheaper or closer to what you wish to pay.

How to sign up for Amazon Prime

Amazon price tracking website calmelcamelcamel .com even tracks the history of products sold to give consumers an idea if prices could go down even further, based on recent trends.

Prime is free to try for 30 days and consumers who wish to subscribe thereafter can save roughly $41 by paying annually compared to monthly.
