    Dunkin’ Donuts to award 50 DMV students with college scholarships

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Fifty high school and undergraduate students in the D.C. area will be recognized at Nationals Park on Thursday as recipients of Dunkin’ Donuts’s annual scholarship program.

    In partnership with Scholarship America , Dunkin’ will award 50 students a $2,500 academic scholarship to the undergraduate institution of their choice.

    This is the third year that Dunkin’ has been organizing its DMV Regional Scholarship Program, which is open to current undergraduate students or high school seniors. Dunkin’ awarded $125,000 total to the 50 students, who were selected based on their academic records, leadership skills and commitment to their schools and local communities.

    “To date, the Dunkin’ DMV Regional Scholarship Program has awarded $350,000 in scholarships to 140 outstanding high school seniors and college students,” a press release read.

    Students will also receive certificates and a special gift during the ceremony.
