    DC police release photos of group accused of armed carjacking in Southeast

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are continuing to look for a group of people accused of being involved in an armed carjacking in Southeast D.C. earlier this month.

    The incident happened on July 19 around 2 a.m. in the 1000 block of Half Street.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that “several suspects” approached the victim who was sitting in his car, pointed a rifle at him and demanded he get out of his car.

    The victim obeyed their demands and the suspects took his car.

    MPD released surveillance camera photos of three of the suspects who were involved.

    Anyone who can identify the suspects or has information is asked to call (202) 727-9099 or text 501411.

    A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest and indictment of those involved.
