Woman faces attempted murder charge after assaulting sister, police say
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island woman is facing an attempted murder charge following a knife assault from earlier this month. Panhandle man arrested after shots fired
On Wednesday, July 25, at 6:37 a.m., law enforcement responded to a call at a rural residence approximately one mile east of Mitchell NE. The reporting party, a female at home with her children, reported that a male was knocking at her back door, that he had a handgun, that he might be on drugs, and she thought he was trying to get into the house. She then reported hearing multiple shots fired, although none were fired into the house. A Scotts Bluff County Deputy was first to arrive on scene. He located the male nearby and took him into custody without incident. The male had a handgun in his possession but did not threaten the Deputy with it.
