A comedy night drew about 60 attendees to the Meadows of Six Mile Creek March 15, all to raise funds for Brianna’s Gift, a 501©3 non-profit organization that offers courses in dance, visual arts, and music to children with cancer and other serious illnesses.

The Waunakee Professional Women’s Comedy for a Cause featured comedians Brady Gregurich and Mike Mercury, from Green Bay and Mount Horeb respectively, and raised $1,000.

The Waunakee Professional Women have other upcoming events as well, including an Earth Day Extravaganza on April 20 from 10 a.m until 2 p.m.

There will be a number of activities available, such as a tree seedling giveaway and planting station, wildflower envelopes that will be given away by participating local businesses, a DIY birdhouse workshop with the Wisconsin Candle Company, and Make n’ Take bath bombs at Pageberry Mercantile.

All activities are while supplies last, attendees are encouraged to arrive early. For more information, check out Waunakee Professional Women online or on Facebook.
